My question is how you sure iPhone 3GS run faster than its predecessor? The guys from CNet did a good job to compare its real life speed with iPhone 3G and HTC Touch Diamond2.
Which mobile phone win the fastest speed? iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G or HTC Touch Diamond2? Let’s begin few simple speed test in the video.
As a result, iPhone 3GS win most of the test except the last one.

- Web browser rendering – iPhone 3GS (1st), iPhone 3G (2nd), HTC Diamond2 (3rd)
- Youtube video streaming – iPhone 3GS (1st), iPhone 3G (2nd), HTC Diamond2 (3rd)
- Shutdown Speed – Unexpectedly, HTC Touch Diamond2 the first, follow by iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.
The time difference between iPhone and HTC in 4th test too significant. HTC shutdown say in 5 seconds, but iPhone took years to turn off totally. Probably Apple iPhone developer overlook this part?
