Although laptop is so common nowadays, some people still stick to their desktop. Desktop still best value for money for user that do not travel a lot. Apple iMac is one of the best desktop computer!

From 17-inches few years ago to 19-inches ( I have one at home) and now 27-inches LED-backlit HD monitor. 17-inches monitor not suitable for movie lover anymore, since HD getting common.

You might think HP Pavilion better because of its name? Not in this case. Dell latest Studio Desktop better than HP Pavilion in 3 aspect: Price, Graphic Card, and Hard Drive Capacity.

This Dell come complete with dedicated 256MB ATI Radeon HD card and 750GB (@7200rpm) while HP Pavilion Elite still using 128MB (Shared Memory) Nvidia Geforce and 640GB hard drive.

In term of speed, Dell Studio run on Intel Core 2 Quad 2.3Ghz which is faster than AMD Phenom X4 2.3Ghz in HP (Adobe Photoshop CS3 application benchmark). (more…)

Sony Vaio JS190J (20-inch, 3Ghz, 4GB RAM)

Finally, Sony released its Windows based all-in-one desktop computer. It can compete with iMac. Sony Vaio is currently the fastest all-in-one computer with its Intel Core 2 Duo 3Ghz and Blu-ray drive. This make the computer a complete home entertainment system for playing digital media.

I would say it is best deal plus best performance for its price. The basic Sony Vaio JS190J specification start at $999 but the Blu-ray drive and other upgrade make the price go upto $1400+.
